Harry Connick Jr. to star in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever
Tony-nominated Harry Connick Jr. is slated to star in the revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, set to open December 11 at the St. James Theatre. The musical, directed by Tony winter Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), tells the tale of a doctor who falls in love after hypnotizing a patient.
Broadway’s War Horse to aid USO
Producer’s of the Tony Award-winning War Horse, a drama based on Michael Morpurgo’s WWI set novel, will donate proceeds from the November 11 Veteran’s Day performance to the USO. Specifically, the net proceeds will go toward some 3,000 troops and families of the New York National Guard being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to host Ghost The Musical
The London stage production of Ghost The Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, opens on Broadway April 23, 2012. Oscar-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his 1990 screenplay for the musical, which includes music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Dave Steward of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard.
