Steven Spielberg taking A Steady Rain from stage to screen
Steven Spielberg would reportedly like to turn A Steady Rain, which starred Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig as Chicago policemen on Broadway, into a film. Broadway.com wrote that this would not be the first Broadway-to-screen work for Spielberg—his adaptation of War Horse will hit theaters December 28 and he is also behind the highly anticipated NBC program Smash.
Darren Criss may replace Daniel Radciff
Several news organizations reported this week that Glee star Darren Criss may take over Daniel Radcliff’s role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying for a three-week run in January.
Discussions on the location for Tony Awards in 2012
Due to the possible return of Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana to Radio City Music Hall for several upcoming summers, speculations are beginning on the location for the 2012 Tony Awards. The awards had been held at Radio City Music Hall for 13 consecutive years, but Zarkana’s run in 2011 meant a transition to the Beacon Theatre.
